Title: 3D PDF FILES
Post by: SDETERS on April 05, 2005, 09:44:30 AM
I have a *.STP or *.igs file that I want to convert to a PDF 3D file so I can view it in Adobe Acrobat reader as a 3D file.  What is the best way to convert this file.

I want to send it to a customer that only has Adboe Reader version 7

Thanks

Shane

Shane,

Take a look at pdf995 over at http://www.pdf995.com

It's basically a program that acts like a printer and you print directly to it.  I know I've used it with great success in AutoCad and I think it'll work with everything else as well.  It's shareware and has some popups but, if you decide to register it, it's only...... $9.95.. Hence the name.

As for the 3D part.. Hmmm...
