Random problems with ADT3.3
« on: November 03, 2006, 11:01:31 AM »
One of my fellow cad guys has been having some really weird things happening to his system, first off randomly ADT will start undoing for no apparent reason, and its not just one or two commands but liike 50 or so, and now when he is trying to copy or move objects after selecting the entities ADT will shoot the stuff selected off into space without selecting a destination point, its like ADT is selecting the destination rather then the user. Anyone had a similar problem, like I said before hes running ADT v3.3.

I don't know ADT at all, but my first thought was that the keyboard was faulty.

So have you stuck a different keyboard on the puter and tested it?

Is the problems occurring often enough to be able to test this easily?

I havn't had a chance to do this as the thought about faulty mouse/keyboard has just been identified.

What it sounds like to me is a lisp or other program that is set to move general items to arbitrary points, which can be funny. However, the undo 50 trick isn't so funny. Both of these sound like a prankster and not a keyboard or mouse problem and NOT and ADT problem at all. Check your appload for lisps that might look suspicious and check other users that might try to pull something like this off.
