I would, in a New York minute!!
-
Do you have any knowledge of something like this happening?
-
No, just wishful thinking.
-
No switch!! We had a unix microstation computer a while back. The commands for the simplest of things were strings 2 and 3 lines long. Unix is too complicated for old people.(That's true for windows too, isn't it ? And DOS. Maybe I should go find my rapidiographs.)
-
As much as I'd love to say yes, I don't think I would go for the switch. I have too many other windows applications that I need to do my job.
I wouldn't mind having it here at home though. :)
-
I do believe I was thinking home would be where I'd change. Most company's are too far married to Microsoft, nor do they see any benefit to changing. Mostly, they probably aren't even aware that there is anything other than MS or Mac.
-
The main reason I have not switched to Linux exclusively is because of the availability of the programming I need to make a living....
-
I would switch in a heartbeat just to get away from Billy Gayts and his Winders! :D
-
I had to vote no
I dinnae luv windaes but I've only ever used Unix once, a while back and I absolutely hated it.
-
I would have to say yes, but thats not to say i would just Jump right in! (I would hessitate a sec.)
HOWEVER! The custom programs would be a whole hell of alot better. seeing as Linux is open source we could "get to the meat" a whole lot faster with our custom programs.

I agree wholeheartedly ....
Does mickeystation work on Linux ???
-
i guess it used to. I think they had a previous build for it that would work on linux. (Im not sure on that though.)
