lisp to grab some text and insert into block as an attribute.
« on: November 11, 2009, 06:00:19 AM »
Hello

I am trying to sort as lisp which will reformat some attributes in a block, then grab some nearby text and add it to the block as additional attributes.
Its to work along side a trimming tree canopy lisp, with which I have many thanks to Vovka and CAB.

Attached is a drawing which should explain what I'm trying to do.
The problem is that I have no idea how to grab the text and insert it into a a block, it goes way beyond my lisp skills.
There was a lisp called topo I once saw floating around the web which could do exactly that, but I've searched and can no longer find it.
It would be a very useful lisp to me, so if anybody can help i'd really appreciate it and of course I would happily pay for your time.

Thanks

I'm working on it .
Just for curiosity , what is MULTIBOLE.

And when you say PLOT ,
Do you mean to put the grabbed test on the Block attribute?

Fantastic thanks Devitg

Multi-bole refers to the trunk being splits into a number of stems.

yep exactly that, not sure why I use the term plot.

Thanks

This one might be of some help.  It is my routine to add attributes to inserted blocks, and not change the block definition.
