block attribute within an mleader?
« on: May 25, 2010, 09:41:39 AM »
I'm sorry if this has been covered before, but is it possible to have an attribute as the contents of an mleader within a block?
Using a point parameter with a stretch action, I can move the mleader text location, but I have not figured out how to get the attribute in it...

Thanks

Ahh, I see - I have used that before. I have attached a sample of what I am attempting to do - and it seems like the only way may be to use a nested block that holds the attribute I need...

What I'd like is the Mleader to contain the "ID" attribute, so it can be moved (like a nornmal attribute that is not locked) but within the leader.

I hope I didn't just make that more confusing...

AFAIK, you can't move attributes within an MLeader.

That's what I thought.  I'll play with the nested mleader idea a bit, but not today - this isn't going to make it into todays submission :)

Give this a try
May be not what you want exactly but can be a good start
