AutoCad 2005 LT, Win2000 Pro -

In 2005 LT, when you click on a dwg, (from Windows Explorer), edit it, then click on the 'open' icon in AutoCad, it defaults to the last folder that you opened a dwg in, (from inside AutoCad).

This is HORRIBLE!!!   :x      :!:  :!:

I typically go to a job folder, click on an existing job dwg, edit it, then move on to the next dwg in THAT job. Then, come to find out that I am editing a dwg from the last job I worked on!    :!:

There HAS to be a way of stopping this AutoCad Behavior. I have been 'putting up with it', and TRYING to make an effort to remmber that AutoCad 2005 LT does this. But, AGAIN I have just edited existing dwgs that I did not want to change.

Do any of you know how to stop AutoCad from doing this?

We recently upgraded from LT98, & it did not do this.

Does LT have the REMEMBERFOLDERS system variable?

Thank you VERY MUCH :D  :D  :D

If I had a 'dancing' icon I would use it :!:

I know this seems like a small thing but obviously from my original post, I was becoming VERY frustrated by this.

Thanks again,
