Title: MText Formatting Code Reference
Post by: Lee Mac on July 07, 2010, 07:59:48 AM
Anyone know if one exists?

I constructed this (http://www.theswamp.org/screens/leemac/Formatting%20Codes.png) a while back as a 'reference' but it doesn't cover them all by any stretch of the imagination....

Hi Lee,
Have you seen here?

http://docs.autodesk.com/ACD/2010/ENU/AutoCAD%202010%20User%20Documentation/

Search for:
'Format Multiline Text in an Alternate Text Editor'

HTH

Anyone know if one exists?

Here was another response from Autodesk:

Quote
Here is a link to the specifications for RTF 1.5:
Rich Text Format (RTF) Version 1.5 Specification
http://www.biblioscape.com/rtf15_spec.htm

Although the formatting codes don't look exactly the same as what is in the mtext entity...

This page: http://www.augi.com/library/autocad-tricks-for-mtext-beyond-the-basics1 has a good explanation of tabs in MText. If you look at the text example posted by @CHulse you will see the tabs stops in there - they're the t in the control character sequence. eg, the first one is t3

(better late than never, eh?)
