Topic: OSNAP NOT WORKING ON SOME OBJECTS

I am inserting a block in Autocad 2009.
When I select it, The grips appear and I can do stuff with it.
When I want to put something on it, like a leader or line (for example), The osnaps will not lock onto a postion on that block.

ideas? suggestions?

let me see that Bad Block object....

Here it is.
Try to snap to one of the corners.
It looks like "span to insertion point" is the only one that seems to work on mine.

Like I said, I am using 2009.
The block is saved in 2004, I think.
Hmmmm, I have an idea.

The Snaps work in 2007 ok

check your settings as shown in attached

I'm pretty sure that it has to do with that file being a nested unnamed block, autocad hates those.
Which is why it works when opened directly, however not when attached as an XREF.
