Request for Stone Hatch Pattern
« on: May 06, 2008, 03:11:59 PM »
I'm looking for a hatch pattern that would somewhat mimic the stone in this picture.

Thanks,
Pieter

It's because Flickr is blocked from this place.  Along with 75% of the rest of the interweb.

I have found some pretty neat things in the files.  YMMV-Greatly

Thanks Mav and Bealerusa.
That will get my by for the time being.

I do like the textures, but I'll need some time to play with them.

When did this happen? So, the only way to post images on TheSwamp is to load them
into the lilypond?  Guess I'll need to figure out how to do that more easily  :-)

Thanks everyone!

Pieter

I use a pattern similar if not identical to Mav's called cblfld.pat.  Copyrighted so I better not post it here.

It's from a free cultured stone collection called StoneCad.  http://www.culturedstone.com/stonecad/

When posting a reply or starting a new topic, there's an "Additional Options" link under the message box.  Click it and you can attach your images there.

I see it's too late for this topic, as it appears you got what you needed, but ... for next time.  :)

I'd still like to find a hatch pattern that closely resembles this type of stone.
They use it in a lot of retail work and would be nice to have the hatch patterning ability.

I'll take a look at the StoneCad information!!~

Thanks,
Pieter

I've got this from.....gawsh... I dunno... a long time ago.  There's no copyright info in the header of the file so.... use at your own risk?!?

I don't think "Wanna-Be-CADD" uses them.

You can always use the *looks around* Express Tools' Superhatch and use the DWG he posted.

Links to a number of hatch pattern collections (including stone) are here:

You can use HatchKit's demonstration Version to inspect hatch pattern definition files:

Softplan doesn't use "hatch patterns"  we call them "paint".  And that just a .dwg of a paint pattern that was offered on the softplan users forum for download.  No copyright that I am aware of.  It was made and offered by another individual user.

Ok .. here ya go ... I made one similar to Mav's drawing above ... its pretty big for a hatch pattern, but it is also pretty complex as well.
