Smartsketch Programming
« on: October 01, 2007, 06:30:50 PM »
I have to do some Smartsketch (formerly Imagineer Technical) programming. Hooking up via com interface is no biggy, but I'm not at all familiar the program's basic operation. As such, I'm looking for any good books or on-line references that discuss both aspects.

The only book I found is many years old. Other than that I've not found any resources, only a programming course offered by Bentley (and for a princely sum I might add).

Throw an oold doog a boone?

Thanks!

Michael.

This might help...I did see books listed there.

http://www.intergraph.com/smartsketch/

Also I searched the Bentley site and found no reference to it.

My Dad used to use Intergraph at Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago. I remember him telling me when I was a kid, that he was being forced to go back to school because all these new youngsters fresh out of school who were leaps and bounds ahead of him in CAD (which was failrly new at the time - late 70's). So, he grudgingly spent all his free time going to the local college and learn Intergraph just to keep his job. He was a master on the board, and was just as skilled at airbrushed renditions. He finally retired as Senior Draftsman sometime in the 80's.

Thank you AZ. I should have mentioned - I did an exhaustive search before posting here, including the product site and related. Thanks for confirming my finding that there's nominal info available. {I just read this and sound like I'm slighting you - I'm not! My sincere thanks that you searched on my behalf and that your efforts confirmed my findings thus far}.
