Topic: dwg freezes

Of course I am close to completion and need to get this bridge out.....
 
I have dwg that only has one detail in it....not too complicated, no 3D stuff just linework and text....
 
There is a piece of mtext in it that when I go to edit it...the dwg freezes.....
 
I did a -purge and cleaned all excess out
I did an audit and let if fix 11 errors
I did a recover but found non after the audit.
I did a wblock and inserted it into a new dwg.
It will freeze when I try to expode the block....so what ever error it was isn't necessarily limited to that piece of text but it allows me to edit other text but when I touch this one it freezes...oh and it will not let me delete it either...it will freeze....
 
can you think of any possible tricks that might help?
 
I haven't had this kind of problem since much earlier releases...its rare anymore to have to resort to a wblock.

it is there the command -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD ?

if, so.... have you tried that?

it froze....didn't work
it froze in the process of the execution of the command but created the new dwg but then froze there too...

Open a new BLANK drawing from your template,

Attach to this file with MAP

Perform a Basic ALL Query

Only VALID cad objects will be imported to the drawing...

You can then get your layout tabs using Design Center, and move forward.

It will preview the query but to draw the query it freezes.

ok, narrowed it down to one layer.....
cutting my losses and just redoing that layer....
