Question 32: Who named the [ www.acadx.com ] web site?
-
I'm guessing that the obvious answer must be incorrect.
-
Is the answer :
depends who you talk to
-
Tiberius Kirk?

Tiberius Kirk?
I was thinking maybe Christopher Pike ... he was around before Tiberius Kirk
-
"Don't you have something better to do? Go pester doctor McCoy."
-
Chris Pike, lol, that was one of my fav episodes. Good call Keith.
-
On reflection I think we're going the wrong way, I do believe it was David Ketchum.
-
"Don't you have something better to do? Go pester doctor McCoy."
Spock? Spock is that you?
-
So what happens if we actually guess correctly?
-
Ok .. I have played along so far .. but I have a guess ...

Frank Oquendo
Of course this is nothing more than a guess ...

I've often wondered if the name of that web site might be one of the sources of friction between Frank O. and Tony T., seeing as Tony has a product called AcadX.
-
Tony Tanzillo
-

All us the younger lispers that have been some time around.... knows about it, the named for the web site was made by FO, than later joined RB & BJ.

Okay, this is going for the never ending thread..... who was it then? :pissed:
-
I don't know, but I sure hope this question wouldn't be on a CAD Test!
-
Not a big deal, but I fess up. I won a copy of AutoCAD LT for coming up with the name. I thought it appropriate since Frank was extending AutoCAD via ActiveX at the time. Couple days later I found out that Tony had a software product by the same name so I immediately warned Frank, and said he could recant on the award etc. but as I recall he didn't care, the name stuck and I received the copy of AutoCAD LT (which I have never used to this day). Witnessed a few battles over that name in the years to follow.
-
SPOON! :-P

And when he will be around here.... [t t]
