First time, I see this....
I know I did a kind of extreme test by drawing a lightweight polyline using 100,000 vertex's, the polyline is drawn, but if I tried to do a zoom extents, AutoCAD just freezes... and even the PC.... not even with ctrl+alt+del ...
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Luis.

is your vertex close anough to maybe SPLINE ?
-
Andrea, Luis wants a polyline, not a Spline ..
Luis, must admit I've never built a polyline that big :)
-
I mean....did you try to see if there is any difference to convert your Pline to a Spline before zooming ?

Thank you Kerry.
But, I needed to run an extreme test (since the command will be used for a Civil and Topo jobs), maybe is not frozen, but it takes forever, that's why I have to turn off my PC.

Thank you Andrea,
The command it is an ObjectARX and has the options to connect points (using LwPolyline or 3Dpolyline), that the user reads from a file, using different formats....

I see also, that it is a problem with the AutoCAD object highlight feature - maybe that's the problem too..... :ugly:

Well.... I found the problem
It is the SELECTIONPREVIEW feature and also it is needed to turn off the HIGHLIGHT variable too.... That way I can do/get the zoom extent that I have as part of my command.
so...
False, alarm then with the number of vertices.... :)

It is the SELECTIONPREVIEW
Now, is this variable available from AutoCAD 2006, no ?
