How does your CAD department go about logging work in amnd out? Ours currently has a Microsoft project programme for the coming weeks issued by the managing engineers. There is also a CAD stamp for each drawing, that has the date of issue to the CAD department and CAD/engineering dept's signature).A central folder is also used to log when the drawings are to be recevied and date of issue to the engineer. This system hwoever all goes out the window should there be a rushed job on,which is pretty common.Heres another idea, maybe the CAD staff resources could be better managed via outlook.
manage CAD resources via Outlook calendar

I use this method:
Set db = DAO.OpenDatabase(DATABASE_DIR & "drafting_db.mdb", False, False)
