Topic: mirrored text

Scenario: I have a leader line with DText on the right side of a beam. I simply mirrored it to put it on the other side instead. But it LITERALLY mirrored the text. Why did it do this?

I've NEVER seen this happen before. I mirror stuff all the time without it literally mirroring the text. It will normally just mirror the justification.

Set MIRRTEXT to 0.

Controls how the MIRROR command reflects text.

0  Retains text direction
 
1  Mirrors the text

oh, nevermind... you already posted that it's saved in the drawing. I didn't create this dwg.

It's a variable that gets saved in the drawing (vs. the registry).  If you open a new drawing, chances are that it will be set to zero already.

and...it is the DEFAULT to not mirror the text.....

you might want to change it in your Template files....

I understand now.

and like I already mentioned, I didn't create the dwg. Someone else did, and she used a border from the client, so the variable might be set to <1> in that border, hence ALL of them!

at least there's only about 10 dwgs and not 100 of them...
