All of them?

Just edit the styles
OR
Use Settings Label Style Default Overrides.....
common disconnect between
Drawing Settings _ Units and Zone
Ambient Settings
and
Label Styles - Units

I'm still learning the software could someone walk me through the process please. :-)

You will need to go into label style composer for ALL labels and edit the text components to output your desired values.
-
And never start a new drawing with Imperial Template :-)
Unless you live in one of the three countries that still use the Imperial system.

Actually the Imperial template does NOT default to inches in the labels. (FEET yes inches NO)

How is this for a start?

Am wondering if this was an existing drawing set up in regular AutoCAD just opened into Civil 3D.

Thank you Mark,
I have gotten as far as you have shown however I change it and it doesnt save it as meter just defaults back to feet.
-
you are not selecting the data in the right hand window - the black part of Mark's picture
then changing the units and clicking the WHITE arrow to insert the NEW code into the right hand panel

Thank you for all you help but it seemed to just be the file. I tried over and over again to change the units but as soon as i did they would default back to feet. I ended up creating a new drawing and copy over what i could and had no problems.

i would like to see that file - to identify
source of the issue
possible solutions
for future references
