Objects From a Newer Version...
« on: February 23, 2011, 10:28:23 AM »
In AutoCAD 2008, it seems I have turned off the notification of objects from a newer version being in the file when I open it. How do I turn that back on?

That does not do it. From 2008 I can save as a previous version but it won't let me export. I get this message at the command line
"Command: _AecExportToAutoCAD2000Dxf
Command not allowed because drawing contains objects from a newer version of
this application."

This is the opening text from the command line;
"Opening an AutoCAD 2004/LT 2004  format file.
Regenerating model.

AutoCAD Express Tools Copyright © 2002-2004 Autodesk, Inc.

AutoCAD menu utilities loaded.

Autodesk DWG.  This file is a TrustedDWG last saved by an Autodesk application
or Autodesk licensed application."

I am trying to export to 2000 format but in order to do that I have to open it in 2010.

does the process work with 2010?

If yes...good.

Could be the issue is that 2010 versions or newer objects, simply can not make the transdimensional jump out of 2008 into the world of DXF2000; even though you can see them in the 2008 dwg.
