Is there something else loading which might be interfering with the SFSP/TP? Alternatively there might be some disc corruption - do a chkdsk (might need to reboot for that).

Another thing might be that the windows DEP/UAC is preventing ACad from performing normally. Is the users on both machines given the same rights? Also is the ACad shortcut set to run in the same privilege level? This used to be an utter PITA, though these days the only thing I've found to not work properly is testing DCL's from within VLIDE - that's because VLIDE tries to save the temporary loading of DCL LSP into ACad's programs folder (which windows prevents for a non-admin user/program).

Something similar might happen with certain portions of registry. I wouldn't be surprised if some bug is preventing the read/write in reg until the user does something manually to "open" it.
Common sense - the curse in disguise. Because if you have it, you have to live with those that don't.

I have had something like this happen before, it turned out to be a failing hard drive, but here was the catch, the failing hard drive was caused by a failing motherboard, which was caused by a failing power supply.

I would definitely say first check your hard drive, make sure that you do a thorough scan of it and use a S.M.A.R.T. reporting tool. If there are any issues found, then also use tools that monitor the voltage from your power supply, fans, etc. and make sure that everything is running properly.

Nothing has been found at this moment.
However, it works fine when I turn on the PC and AutoCAD on Monday.
Yes, it just works fine without any problem.

What I can think of is that perhaps the registry did not function properly. - irneb, you may be right.
And it would be very interesting if it was hardware failure.
I will keep an eye on these and let you know later.

Thanks to all. Your inputs are very appreciated.

I did ckeck it again today:
1st time turn on the pc & acad - the "Setup.vlx" wasn't loaded.
2nd time restart the pc & acad - the same resault as above.
3rd time restart the pc & acad - the "Setup.vlx" was loaded successfully.

Again, the "Setup.vlx" has worked fine all time in the past.
I don't see any symptoms that indicate hareware's failure.

Any other suggestions? Thanks.

In my experience, this is a symptom that a hard drive is failing. The problem with intermittent problems like this is that they are very hard to diagnose, even with the proper tools. What I would do is get a cheap external hard drive, clone your computer drive to it, then boot from the external drive and see if the problem persists. If it goes away, you know your hard drive is indeed failing and can take further action, if it doesn't, then you have ruled out your hard drive.

Thanks for your suggestion but I can't test it as I don't have the admin rights.
I have also checked that the usb port connection is not loose.
The flash drive has been scanned and found no problems.

I may need to monitor it for a week or so.

I know you don't have Admin rights but do you at least have a good backup regime ?
