Plotting PDF files to HP DesignJet 700
« on: February 12, 2004, 11:19:07 AM »
Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me how to plot out the files of a PDF file to the
HP DesignJet 700?

I am now regularly getting PDF files in my e-mails (was getting most
of them ACAD drawing files)

The problem I'm having now is to plot them at the original scale they
were drawn at!

Our consultants draw them on ACAD at a certain scale (Architectural
Drawings) and then save them to PDF files (8-1/2 x 11) before e-mailing
them to me to plot out to the original scale they were drawn at. I can
plot them out OK but not all are to scale when I finish!

Help!!

Thanks,

Vinny

I don't think you can unless they create the pdf at scale.

If the PDF was made from a PLT file, you can convert it back to a dxf and plot it w/ acad.
Here is a link to get the routine   http://www.output.tmfweb.nl/
It's Ghostscript
