hatch tolerance

I beleive I read somewhere that you can set a gap tolerance when doing hatch commands.  I'm trying to do quick hatching but because the boundries have like a 1/32" gap, not closed, it will be invalid.
Or maybe a lisp that will close all lines with a gap under say 1/16".
Anything ideas or info will help at this point.
Mahalo,

oh, I'm using ACAD 2004.

Open the hatch command, the tolerance is under the advanced tab.

Hi

Only good for AutoCAD 2005 & 2006.

"danny" stated AutoCAD 2004 is being used.

Have a good one, Mike

Try this 'HPGAPTOL'.

This is a2006 SYSTEM VARIABLE so it might not work in 2004.

does that mean you can specify a gap of 1000mm, and the hatch will ignore door openings?

if it does, that is so cool.

*bump*

I thought Acad used to give you the option to see the gaps in a hatch boundary.  That's all I want, is to SEE the gaps...not to ignore them.
