palette disappeared from screen area
« on: September 17, 2009, 10:05:58 AM »
Hello,

I somehow moved my xreference palette out of my screen area. I already
tried changing my sreen resolution to the highest (smallest) possible. I still
cant find it.

Is there a way to get it back or show in the middle of screen with coding,
registry hacks? Any ideas?

What is SDI set to?  If it's set to 1, then you won't get the xref palette; you'll get the classic xref dialog box.

And welcome, Björn!

you might want to go the otherway, make the creen resolution the WORST you can set it and then relaunch

or you can poke around in the profile *.ARG file and change the location information for the: Name="External References" Style="46" Opacity="100" RolloverOpacity="100" Visible="0"/><XREF_PALETTESET><XREF_PALETTE TopToWholeRatio="0.68"><CAdUiPalette PaletteStyle="0"/><REFERENCE_VIEW Type="0"/><DETAILS_VIEW Type="0"/></XREF_PALETTE></XREF_PALETTESET></Tool><Tool CLSID="{52A01907-CD88-437E-AAE6-697C574C82CF}"><CAdUiDockControlBar Orientation="-1" AllowDocking="1"><FloatInfo Left="8" Top="64" Width="689" Height="548"/><DockInfo Left="0" Top="0" Width="200" Height="300"
Be your Best

Hello again,

I tried all the suggestions but none of it work. I even have a backup copy of my
profile (.arg), it still did not work.

But the good news is that I was able to make it kinda work. When we installed autocad
it required at least two "formats/profile/versions". Mep global, US Imperial, etc..
So when I fired up the the other shortcut (MEP global) the one I dont usually use, I saw
the "beautiful" xreference palette.

Then I imported my backup ".arg". I had to do a little massaging to get it back to where
I wanted it to be.

Thank you all for the suggestions.
