PDF not plotting to scale

We have been using PDFs for sending stuff out for quite a while now.

Today one of the engineers said the pdf's aren printing to scale. If we plot to PDF, at 1=1, and then print the PDF with no scaling why isnt the printed drawing to scale?

What am I doing wrong?

Nothing you are doing wrong.

My guess is the printer/plotter.  More to that I can not say.  We have the same troubles.

yup. we've never been able to plot a pdf to scale yet.

When you print directly from AutoCad to the plotter are the drawings to scale?

Not exactly... its an old plotter (getting a new one next week)

But the plotted ones are closer in scale than the PDFs

Hmmm...
Using the PDF995 printer prints perfect to scale.

We use CutePDF, is there any known problems with this one?

I posted this exact problem not long ago. Some suggestions were posted, but
nothing that I saw and tried worked. Is ACAD r2007 supposed to take care of
this issue, since I keep reading pre-release comments concerning PDF plots??
