(AutoCAD LT) Sharing Customizations with AutoCAD
« on: February 26, 2013, 12:48:39 PM »
Does anyone have any experience in using LT in conjunction with others using AutoCAD or even Civil 3D? We have some extensive tool palettes for many drafting and design tasks. Most were created directly in AutoCAD using 2008 or earlier. And if there is any lengthy commands, they are standard menu macros: ^C^C followed by standard commands and options with ; between.
Will these work in LT? We have some users who need only to draft- assemble plan sheets, add notes, callouts, etc. And we'd like to offer them the same basic interface.

Generally macros is macros as far as autocad is concerned IF the command is available in LT.

You will probably find a few that dont quite work, but may be able to be re written to work as long as it is not anything using lisp or the commands just not available in LT or commands no longer available.

The macro syntax your describing is common to lt and full autocad, LT even does diesel, although not many do a lot in that language, its brutal to figure out, lol.
