I know I'm jumping the gun being new to MS and I do have resources to find my own answers, but I'm struggling with the basics, while my brain keeps jumping forward.
Is it possible to get the coordinates of point automatically in a table, in Microstation? (w/o creating another data file and still doing the ole cut/paste).
Thanks

Not that I'm aware of...but that doesn't mean much :-)

Yeah Buddy.
same as ACAD, drag across a text, rt clk, object properties ! ! !

So why are you doing this on a Saturday?

Gatta give MS the same shot, besides, I have 10 days left on the trail version to catch up on 14 yrs of Acad
(That and the j.o.b. may depend on it)
You do know its your fault

What? How?
And if it was fun, can I do it again?

All right , lets do it again:
Seems this coordinate thing is not the format we like.
(with fields) By taking the properties of an object, the output is x,y,z. We need y,x and if necessary, just clip the z off. There is a xyz text that outputs x,y,z, in 3 lines.
I'm trying to fit company Coordinate Data Table:
No. Northing Easting Descrip.
1
2
3
What I've done using Fields is space the data evenly, reference that to the sheet, clip around all the "Y" coords, ref the file to the rt column, and clip around the "X" data, ref that to the 2nd column and have the No. and Descrip regular text in the sheet file. Th Boss is not going to like it. I don't like, too complicated, too screwy. Is there a better way?
