You can import the layout by right clicking on a layout tab or button and selecting "From Template". Change the file type to .dwg and browse to the other drawing. This will get you everything in paper space.

Copy/clip with base point (0,0) and paste to (0,0) to get model space and hope nothing overlaps.

Open both drawings and use design center ( DC ).

Sweet! I am sure it will overlap so I will try DC or maybe pasting to a different coordinate.

Thank you both!

Here's a quick one that pulls in a certain Layout (Paperspace objects only) from one of our templates.

(vl-cmdf "._-LAYOUT" "_TEMPLATE" "awow_01" "container1")

Change "awow_01" to the drawing template name, and change "container1" to the desired Layout you'd need.

Although, I have to say that Steal from Lee is outstanding.

my suggestion

Open both drawings
set current tab in each to MODEL
go to view tab
Tile the drawings
in the file that has stuff that needs to be in the other file
select everything in model space
RT-Click and wait.....when the cursor changes
continue holding the rt button down and drag the data into the destination drawing.....
you will get options - paste here - paste to original coordinates....choose

Then using design center CTRL+2
use open drawings tab
find LAYOUTS
select those required Rt-Click chose ADD LAYOUTS

the two files are now one.....

Be your Best

I think it's something to do with one of the drawings. I'm having the same problem with all three methods.  :-(

Note: Also, I need to update the title block from an old one in one of them.

I'm trying this one more time...think I may not have used 0,0 properly.
