Can't see whay anyone would test 2011 compatibility give that C3D is NOT backward compatible with itself.

As to 2013 and windows 8...what would the argument be for upgrading to such a new OS?

As I can't see the OS upgrade solving any C3D stability issues.

Just tried C3D 2013 on Win8 RC, works as far as starting up and opening drawings goes, haven't really done anything technical with it yet.

But as for Windows 8 goes, stay away, far far away. Ill be sticking to Win 7 until Micro$oft gets rid of the ridiculous UI they introduced! Its hilariously terrible.

Windows 8 Support for AutoCAD and AutoCAD-based vertical products

Issue

You want to know if you can run AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, or AutoCAD-based vertical products on Microsoft Windows 8.

Solution

At this time, Windows® 8 and the Windows® 8 Consumer Preview are not supported operating systems for any AutoCAD versions.  The AutoCAD team is investigating compatibility with these new platforms, but we do not have any further information at this time.

In the meantime, please refer to Operating system compatibility for AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT for details on currently supported operating systems.
