Plot to PDF with layout tab name
« on: September 19, 2009, 03:00:00 PM »
Hello,

I am trying to plot multiple tabs to individual pdf files. I am using a plot tabs routine to plot to a pre-configured pdf page setup.

When I plot the tabs it asks for a file name. I have to manually enter the name for each tab. Anyone know of a way I can have the output file name match the tab name?

I am using CutePDF to create the pdf files.

Thanks in advance.

You can get the latest version  here

I think that was requested before & I could find no solution but I'll look again.

PS the DCL file is created by the LISP. This feature was added in 2004.

This is what I use http://www.pdf995.com/why.html
Cost is $10.00 & it allows automatic file names. I got the suite for $20.00

Cab,

Thanks for the post.

Here is what I ended up doing.

I used the publish feature to plot to a DWF file. Which contains all of the tabs... the tabs I want that is.
Then I open the DWF file in Design Review(2008) and then plot to a pdf.

Works pretty well.

I have the pdf995 driver installed. I think it came with some tax software.

Round about way of getting this done, but it works. :-)
