Dave what you have..is EXACTLY what I have...those attribute are rotating around the block insertion point..however
it looks like in your version of CAD the second attribut (for the tenths and hundreths of your elevation) IS being DISPLACED differently than the second...during the rotation in your version...WHAT version are you using? and do you have all Hot Fixes and Service Paks installed?
however that sympton is NOT happening in 2011

as to posting images..I use one of three methods
Snipping Tool in Vista
Print screen and crop as needed in GIMP
or
Select objects>>Rt-Click OBJECT VIEWER>>Save image

when you folks are ready, I can save you a lot on C3D training, and implementation.

what happens IF you recreate the block from scratch?

not to worry somewhere here on The Swamp there are a couple of tools to replace the blocks and preserve the attribute value(s) if this NEW version of the block works as desired

Autocad Civil 3D Land Desktop Companion 2008

These are the results I desire, and used to have.

so you have Civil 3D....why not use it?  And throw that LDD out the window.

LDD projects migrate into C3D quite painlessly, and with no loss of productivity involved...that was the point of my AU class.

I will re-create the block in 2008 and see what happens as suggested.  Gotta stay productive here at work so it may take a few.  Thanks to everyone for looking into this.

I think that's just a fancy way of saying LDD.  Not Civil 3D with an LDD package attached to it.

Well, I made a new one in 2008.  No luck.  I fired up Autocad 2006, inserted the original block, works fine.  I guess I didn't run into this problem close enough after the upgrade to realize it was the cause.

i hated everything about A2008 when it came to blocks.  skipped using it completly.  Kind of like 2011 now with it's 3Dconnexion bug.  :realmad:  (yeah, i'm not using 2011 either)

No, you could always write a macro to rotate them for you

Or...just accept them...it would be sort of 'forgiving' the blocks their short comings, you know in the spirit of PC and all that.

I've decided to accept them, especially since I'm not any good at writing macros.  Thank you for your help gentlemen.  I appreciate it.
